AFC Introduces The DuraChef® Family of High Speed
Vertical Toaster Conveyor Belts
Lake In The Hills, IL –– September 8, 2003 –– Advanced Flexible Composites, Inc. (AFC) has introduced its new series of high-speed vertical toaster belts to be sold under the brand name DuraChef®. The DuraChef® series of proprietary belt wrappers are the next generation of conveying for high-speed vertical toasters used in the restaurant industry. DuraChef® belt wrappers are the most conformable, flexible, trackable, and wear resistant belts available for high-speed vertical toaster applications.
A proprietary coating improves adhesion properties by up to 70% as compared to competitive products currently available. This improved adhesion, combined with AFC’s proprietary tread systems, has resulted in extending belt life by 4 to 6 weeks in field testing. All DuraChef® products are suitable for food contact and will meet FDA standards 21 CFR Parts 170-199 and specifically Section 177.1550. Types foods 1-1x as listed in Sec. 176.170 of 21 CFR.
According to AFC’s President and CEO, Bill Lewis, “ DuraChef® offers a unique combination of grip and release properties required in high speed vertical toasting applications. DuraChef® offers improved adhesion properties and longer service life as compared to products currently on the market. This longer life will directly reduce store owner costs.”
