AFC Announces DuraLam® Series of High Performance Belting

Lake In The Hills, IL –– March 23, 2004 –– Advanced Flexible Composites, Inc. (AFC) has introduced its new DuraLam® High Performance Belting Series. DuraLam® is specifically designed to maximize conveyor belt life, while minimizing down time in the most demanding belting environments. DuraLam® is manufactured from PTFE coated woven fiberglass substrates, utilizing AFC’s in line laminating process. DuraLam® was formulated to prevent wicking of oils and greases into the belts, while providing our most durable substrate. All DuraLam® products are suitable for food contact and will meet FDA standards 21 CFR Parts 170-199 and specifically Section 177.1550. Types foods 1-1x as listed in Sec. 176.170 of 21 CFR.

AFC’s Director of Marketing, Michael Baker commented, “ DuraLam® belting series is an excellent choice for use in the most demanding applications, such as food processing were there is a high level of grease and oils present. The DuraLam â formulation has proven to be resistant to grease and oil penetration. Resulting in belts, which have out performed and lasted longer than standard competitive products.
