AFC Announces The Addition of PTFE Calendaring

Lake In The Hills, IL –– April 6, 2006--Advanced Flexible Composites, Inc. (AFC) is pleased to announce the addition of a new 90” wide calendar. The new calendar capabilities will support AFC’s DuraFab® PTFE coated fabric product line. The new calendar will improve surface finish on AFC’s DuraFab®, DuraLam® and DuraChef® PTFE coated and laminated fabrics. 

Bud Terpstra, V.P. of Engineering for AFC commented, “The calendar will not only improve the surface finish on our coated PTFE fabrics, but will assist us in improving fiber bundle penetration. Many of our fabrics are coated in multiple passes, the calendaring allows for better uniformity at greater widths than most competitors.”
