AFC Announces DuraFlow® Bleeder and Breather Fabric

Lake In The Hills, IL –– April 29, 2005 –– Advanced Flexible Composites, Inc. (AFC) has introduced its new DuraFlow® 27-03 PTFE coated Bleeder and Breather Fabrics. DuraFlow® 27-03 is specifically designed to maximize porosity, while maintaining its unique release characteristics. AFC can manufacture and certify DuraFlow® 27-03 to meet a variety of porosity specifications. DuraFlow® fabrics are used as bleeder/breather cloth in vacuum bagging operations and release fabrics in pre-preg manufacturing. AFC’s 27-03 is ideal for its unique combination of porosity, chemical resistant, temperature resitivity, mechanical strength and non-stick properties. DuraFlow® 27-03 is available in widths of 40”, 50” and 80”.

Michael Baker, AFC’s Director of Marketing states, “We will be offering our DuraFlow® bleeder and breather PTFE release fabrics to meet the increasing application demands in the aerospace, aircraft and composite industries. We have the capabilities to design, manufacture, test and certify our DuraFlow® materials to a customer’s specific porosity specification. If the application demands a PTFE fabric with a porosity specification higher or lower than the standard products available, we will produce it. These capabilities have recently assisted us in receiving some substantial DuraFlow® contracts. Manufacturing our DuraFlow® series to a specific porosity will provide a more consistent material. This consistency can only enhance the end-users products.”
