| Product Description |
The DuraLam® High Performance Series is specifically engineered to maximize conveyor belt life, while minimizing down time in the most demanding belting environments. These fabrics are manufactured from PTFE coated woven fiberglass substrates, utilizing AFC’s in line laminating process. DuraLam® belts provide an extremely smooth, non-stick surface, excellent release and resistivity from oils, grease and chemicals. Our proprietary coating formulation was developed to prevent wicking of oils and greases into the belt fabrics, while providing our most durable substrate. DuraLam® fabrics are excellent for use in the most challenging applications, such as food processing belts were there is a high level of grease and oils, or the processing of sticky or gummy materials. DuraLam® belts have outperformed and lasted longer than standard competitive products by as much as 30%.
|
DuraLam® High Performance Belting Characteristics |
DuraLam® belts are engineered to retain the distinctive properties of PTFE; however, by adding a glass fabric to the matrix, AFC is able to obtain the added benefits of dimensional stability, excellent tensile strength and extremely low elongation (<1%). DuraLam® belts have received USDA approval for food processing and handling, and are FDA compliant. In addition, the DuraLam® belts can operate in temperatures from -100°F to +500°F.
