ASTM International

Founded in 1898, ASTM International is a not-for-profit organization that provides a global forum for the development and publication of voluntary consensus standards for materials, products, systems, and services. In over 130 varied industry areas, ASTM standards serve as the basis for manufacturing, procurement, and regulatory activities. Formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials, ASTM International provides standards that are accepted and used in research and development, product testing, quality systems, and commercial transactions around the globe.

American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is a private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO)

ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 148 countries, on the basis of one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva , Switzerland , that coordinates the system. ISO is the world's largest developer of standards. Although ISO's principal activity is the development of technical standards. ISO standards contribute to making the development, manufacturing and supply of products and services more efficient, safer and cleaner.

National Sanitary Foundation (NSF)

NSF International, The Public Health and Safety Company™, a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, is the world leader in standards development, product certification, education, and risk-management for public health and safety. While focusing on food, water, indoor air, and the environment, NSF develops national standards, provides learning opportunities through its Center for Public Health Education, and provides third-party conformity assessment services while representing the interests of all stakeholders.

3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc.

Their mission is to enhance product safety for consumers of food, beverages and pharmaceutical products through the development and use of 3-A Sanitary Standards and 3-A Accepted Practices. They develop, maintain and publish uniform standards and practices for the sanitary design, fabrication, installation and operation of equipment and machinery.

Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.

Founded in 1894, Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) is an independent, not-for-profit product-safety testing and certification organization. UL is the leader in product-safety testing and certification within the United States . Today, UL services extend to helping companies achieve global acceptance, whether for an electrical device, a programmable system, or an organization's quality process.

North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)

NAICS is a unique, all-new system for classifying business establishments. It is the first economic classification system to be constructed based on a single economic concept. Economic units that use like processes to produce goods or services are grouped together.
